Each guide lists its own sources. This page explains what those sources are and how they are weighted.

Manufacturer documentation
User guides, service manuals, support articles and firmware notes published by the manufacturer. These are marked Official in a guide's source list and take precedence over everything else.
Widely reported operator experience
Some fixes are well established among people who repair these machines but appear in no manufacturer document. Where a guide relies on one, it says so rather than implying official backing.
What we exclude
- Unverified claims from content farms that copy each other.
- Fixes we cannot trace to either documentation or consistent reporting.
- Anything that recommends a repair without acknowledging the risk.
