Privacy policy

What we collect

• Search terms typed into the site, stored as counts so we know which guides to write next. These are not tied to you.
• Guide feedback: whether a page was helpful and any comment you choose to leave. No identifier is stored with it.
• Contact form submissions: your name, email and message, so we can reply.
• Server logs: IP address, browser, requested page and timestamp, recorded automatically by the web server.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles from it. Feedback votes and search terms carry no identifier that links them to a person.

Advertising

If advertising is shown on this site, the advertising provider may set its own cookies and use them to serve ads. That is described in their policy rather than ours, and where such advertising runs it will be visually distinct from the guides.

Retention and your rights

Contact messages are kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period after. Server logs rotate automatically. You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, through the contact page.
