How a guide gets from a problem to a published page.

Last updated 10 August 2026

Sources

Manufacturer documentation comes first: user guides, service manuals, support articles and firmware release notes. Those are marked as official in the source list on each guide.

Where a fix is widely reported by operators but not documented by the manufacturer, the guide says so rather than presenting it as official advice.

Structure

Guides open with a direct answer, then cover what the problem means, what commonly causes it, what to check first, and the ordered steps. Steps that can damage hardware or affect a warranty carry a visible warning.

Every guide ends with the point at which you should stop and contact the manufacturer or a technician. Knowing when not to continue is part of the advice.

Dates

Published and updated dates are real and come from the content system. A guide is not backdated or given a fresh date to look current.

Corrections

If a step is wrong, tell us and we will check it against the source and fix it. Material corrections are made to the guide itself rather than quietly removed.
